Want The Truth? Ask A Mom

January 21, 2009 by HomeWorking Mom
Filed under The Real Deal Blog

There are so many misconceptions, fears and outright scams associated with working at home that instead of realizing your dream it is likely that you will fall into a black hole of confusion.  I am here to give you a hand up and a boost into a successful future at home.

Billy Joel said it well in his song A Matter of Trust:

I’ve lived long enough to have learned
The closer you get to the fire the more you get burned
But that won’t happen to us
Because it’s always been a matter of trust”

I don’t know how to say it any better.  I will be your partner and your friend as you try to navigate the maze of work-at-home opportunities.  If you are afraid of “getting burned” you won’t take the right steps to find the exact opportunity or resource that is right for you.  Something that worthwhile is never easy.

Sometimes, all it takes is a little common sense.

Answer this question:  Would you give away samples of your product if you didn’t think it was good?  Of course you wouldn’t.  That’s one reason I know why you can trust Pot Pie Girl.  Seriously.

I recently discovered “Pot Pie Girl” a wonderful woman who is ready and waiting to help you to make money online.  Her real name is Jennifer and she has created a weekly plan that she uses to make lots of money online. She even has weeks when her income goes up to $1,000+ a week!

I read her ebook, One Week Marketing Action Plan and you should too.  The good news is you can read part for FREE. Jennifer offers an 18-page sample of her One Week Marketing Plan.  Just use this link to go to her website and you will see the offer  for 18 free pages there:

I have to admit I am a sceptic, I have seen so many scams of this nature, and have spent money I could ill afford to get scammed. I would like to know how we can be assured all of this is not just one more of those, sorry to sound rude but “burn me once shame on you, burn me twice shame on me” Thank you

    Hi Veida,
You can’t be sure of anything in life, but if you let fear stop you all of your chances to find what you are looking for will be gone. There is plenty of free information on this site. Use it. Do more research. Read our at-home job section to find out more about my approach to this topic. You have to know exactly what you are looking for before you can purchase a resource that can help you. Take the time you need to figure that out. If you are specifically talking about Pot Pie Girl, there is no problem there. She is offering 18 free pages. After you read them, you will know if you want to see more from her.
    Good luck! -Georganne

I would like to work at home, I have retired but still have time at home while I sit with my grandchildren.

I’m not a mommy blogger, but I can tell you that Pot Pie Girl has a good handle on this. Working online is not an easy gig. Best advice is go for affiliate marketing, stay away from surveys. Total waste of time.

There are so many “opportunities” out there convincing stay at home moms they can get rich by doing absolutely nothing (other than buying the SCAMMY product of course).

I just happened upon your site looking for things moms are talking about and loved to see how you’re trying to help others not get scammed. I’ve been there and it hurts!

I love that name “Pot Pie Girl”. I’ll be checking out here free chapter and her site. Sounds interesting.

    Thanks for helping others,
    Jane

There are a lot of scams out there, but, if you do your research, you should be fine. I think it’s a shame that many people give up on their dream of working from home because they are afraid of getting burned.

You are so right - anything worthwhile takes work. If you see opportunities that promise a lot of money for no work, run!

Don’t give up on your goal of a life that offers freedom, flexibility and fun (along with some extra money!) Find a mentor you can trust, and take the step!
